Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

I don't know why I was going out here.

Okay, that's a lie, but what I really mean is what I was doing getting stuck out in the crags at this godforsaken hour in search of an elusive scent. It wasn't like I was an exceptional tracker. I clearly wasn't even mediocre. All because I had thought a new scent clung to the fur of MY mate. I mean I guess technically we weren't mates but I had decided we were and thus it must be. Anything to keep my position of power even if I siding particularly like Aranck. That's okay because we had a mutually beneficial relationship. Or maybe I got more out of it but I did my best to keep his interest. Wagged my tail, pranced around, fought with him. What more did the bastard want?

My teeth grit against a sudden uptake in the breeze, the cold fingers slicing through my pathetically weak coat. A shiver wracks my body and I huddle behind an outcrop of rock so it will break the breeze. Only when it dies down to I begin a fast clip in the direction of Iromar, cursing my decision to leave the confines of the warmer swamp area. Until I hear the call. It makes my body shiver because it is so reminiscent of the time when I had heard such a call... before I found Carnifex. I missed him like a sharp ache suddenly. At least he loved me in his own twisted away. I fought for his attention but in the end I had won it ... I wasn't sure I could ever win Arancks.

As I round a rocky bend I spy the boy. His scent is fresh and sharp and I recognize it as one that lingered around Iromar. I wasn't good enough to detect if it had been a fresh or old scent though so I had no way of knowing he had been snooping. Only that he wasn't part of the small pack I now helped to lead. I pause, eyeing him, before cooing. "It is a beautiful night to sing your song, handsome, but aren't you cold? A little warmth would do you good." And me. I can't help the way I move gracefully, seductively. It's in my nature.
