Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

The shadows faded over his eyes. Dark against dark even in the light of the sun. He was slowly coming to terms with the sightlessness that was backing his life. Unable to see details, he focused on the shapes and their movements. He could not see the winter storms start to roll over the lands, but he could see the twisting of the wind by the way the shrubs bent and he felt the press of the gales against his fur.

Sounds, however, still filled his ears. The stories and songs of the others around him still entered his consciousness where the sights did not. Halcyon’s melody painted a picture of wisps and smoke that his milky eyes could not grasp. His heart followed the music, letting the splashes dance around him in their lyrical lit. Carefully, his paws splayed wide, he took the steps through the iced over badlands, through the trails of the rocky free lands until he hit the trails of the crags.

Growing more confident in his steps, he moved through the winding shadows. He followed the sound of the voices, though he kept to the darkness and the shadows. He had run into things in the past, wished not to do it again. He listened to their words from the shelter of distance. It was not that he wanted to lurk in the shadows of the crags. It was more that he wanted to keep away from the mistakes of weakness.
