Re(1): Female CT's

I joined in 1963. There were no frmale CT's at that time. I was stationed at Homestead, Fl 73-75. The first female CTR branchers were scheduled to arrive at Homestead in late 73, early 74. The 3rd floor of one of our 2 barracks was totally changed prior to their arrival. The open bay was converted to rooms with a 2 person bedroom, bathroom with tub and 2 person bedroom configuration. I know because there were 6 females assigned to me and my watch. My job was to insure the 3rd floor was secure for them. They each had a key and I had a key. They arrived and what a joy they were to have on my watch. No goofing around, no hiding, or trying to get out of duty. They sat and worked their whole watch. They were great! We had a couple on incidents of guys trying to get into the 3rd floor and one incident, (that I knew of) of a girl bringing a guy up to her room. Overall they were a great asset to the R branchers.
