Nico seemed to understand the message I wanted to convey, that bringing her here wasn't some act of revenge - it was almost more of an extended olive branch. Sure, Roman and Daenerys might never be friends; one could never expect that. But there was no reason for their children to hold grudges when the whole matter had been put to bed. Or at least, it had been in my eyes. My mother had reclaimed what was hers - perhaps not directly from the usurper himself - and Roman had found a home in the forests to the north. Unless Nico or some other child of Roman's thought to attempt what their father had done, there was no reason to stay at odds. And from what I'd learned of Nico so far, she was not the type of wolf who would ever come after the throne. I smiled at her as she agreed with me, adding her own sentiment to what I had explained, and I nodded.

Though my concurrence with what she'd said was almost immediately contradicted as my hackles bristled and my lips twitched defensively. An unknown wolf suddenly came towards us, and though she displayed no aggressive behavior she was crossing into Spirane without leave of a pack member. I nearly barked a warning to Nico as the multi-toned wolf rushed towards her, but then Nico glanced over her shoulder and her laughter filled the air. Confused, I raised my head slightly, lips stilling although my hackles remained prickled along my ruff. Ears pitched forward as Nico called the other girl by name. Vesta. Sis. The pieces fell into place and so did the fur along my nape, settling back as I realized this wolf was truly no threat. She was merely a concerned sibling, likely wondering why some stranger had come and escorted Nico off to another pack.

When Nico turned back to me with an explanation I smiled at her, then my eyes slid back to Vesta and I nodded my head in understanding. "Hey Vesta; I'm Nymeria. I was just going to show Nico around some of the cool spots in Spirane. Want to come with?" I felt a little guilty over the brusque body language I had displayed, and I wanted to make up for it. And then the thought crossed my mind that maybe I'd done even better than bringing a new wolf to Spirane and making a friend - maybe I'd gotten two for the price of one.
