Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Reaver

Enya's words were all but lost on him, the warning and threat she attempted to instill in him disregarded as their daughter spun and retaliated. As Reaver's head had swung to bowl over her brother, Sekhmet's fangs had grazed over the skin of her father's bloodstained jowl. Though she did not pierce flesh, she had fully gained the beast's attention. Her movements to protect her brother and urge him to flee went almost entirely unnoticed by the boy who was so enraptured with Reaver's movements. But the monstrous brute swung back towards his daughter as she struck again in the act of defending herself and preserving her brother's safety. He did not see these actions as such - she was fighting him, and it ignited the fire within him. It was a dull coal glowing the embers, still somewhat repressed by his satiation, but she had blown oxygen into it and sparked it to life.

The second time she struck, her juvenile fangs found purchase in the meaty bulk of his neck. Her youth betrayed her in this, for her jaws here not fully mature and therefore could not penetrate deeply into his flesh. Still, it was more than the prickle of thorns, and Reaver's pupils constricted as he flung his head to the side to dislodge her. When she moved away to further put herself between him and her brother - an entity that Reaver had all but disregarded in these moments, his focus given entirely to the juvenile who dared to challenge him. He lunged forward, his immense form pummeling into his daughter as his jaws twisted to grab hold of her by the withers. The hold was firm, but not made to puncture skin and flesh. Instead, he used his hold to force the girl to the ground beneath him.

In these moments his sickening green eyes turned to Ripper, to had finally found his feet and was growling at Reaver. But the boy did not move to attack - their sire could have easily killed Sekhmet by now if thats what he had wanted to do. Reaver then looked towards Enya, a clear threat in his eyes - don't come a step closer. He then released his jaws from over her back and pressed a single, heavy paw into her side to keep her down. Drawing back, he roared in her face, spittle flying from his jaws to fleck the fur of her face. The monster would not tolerate her insubordination against his test - he had sought to see what strengths the two oversized whelps possessed, and learned something of each of them.

When the sound died away, he snorted a hot breath into her face and then released her, stepping back without having done any real harm (though perhaps having left a few bruises in his wake), and turning his back on the two children. He moved past Enya, placing a single nip on her hip - part approval of the pups, part disapproval of her threats - then returned to his place in the shade of the tree to continue his rest.
