OOC

The place for a little bit of everything!
The OOC board is, well, multi-purpose! Members can post freely here and the majority of site-related content will be posted here as 'announcements,' while general chatting goodness is encouraged to take place over on our Discord server.

Plot-trackers and to-do lists can also be posted here. Events such as "Quarterly Highlight" nominations and voting, site-wide plots, Casanova nominations and site-wide changes (such as a rule update) will also be posted here. You may use the 'key' below to colour-code your posts!

and Night Comes...
The Beasts Are Among Us

Plot Overview: Large predators have been appearing across Moladion. Night has become far more treacherous than ever with these beasts appearing, attacking and attempting to kill anything that enters their paths. But only at night. During the day they seem to be gone, hidden even, as if they live in the shadows themselves. Anyone walking the free lands at night will most likely find themselves face to face with one of these creatures leaving them one option fight for you life or run for it. Even dens are not always safe places, especially if you are staying there for very long. The creatures don't seem to roam into pack lands unbidden, if at all, due to the number of wolves within, making them the safest places to be in Moladion.

- These creatures are one of two things: Grizzly Bears or Cougars. They are larger to match the large wolves of Moladion, making them monsters even to the largest of wolves.

- Players must express OOC interest in order to be eligible to post predators. A series of guidelines must be followed when playing and designing them.

Guidelines for players include:
= Only one per player
= Cougars must be between the size of 35-40 in and 130-270 lbs
= Grizzly Bears must be between the size of 46-53 in and 450-850 lbs
= Have basic html (we can provide one for you) with the only requirement is they have size stats on there.
= They must be somewhat natural colors. A black pure black cougar or grizzly is fine for example but nothing overly complicated. (Try to be unique enough so that IC they can be distinguishable from one another for more fun!)
= Once the design and stats of the creature chosen is done simply show to a staff member for approval.
= Predators players will be drawn at random when threads that meet the requirements are met. Staff will approach and ask players to participate in threads.
= Players must see the thread through to completion or have no replies in two weeks before being put back to be randomly drawn for a thread. Meaning one thread at a time per predator-character.
= Players must remember that their predator CAN BE SLAIN and must play it as realistically as possible. No god modeling or power playing. Breaking of these two key rules will mean forfeit of the rights to play a predator.
= If it gets gravely wounded or maimed it will remain that way and not be as healthy in the next fight unless plenty of time has passed for it to heal. (Any questions regarding this please ask staff!)

- Creatures may appear when the following requirements are met:
- A character is posted in the roam lands
- The time is night and is specified in post
- A pack alpha invites one to post within their pack

- When these requirements occur happens a staff will flip a coin to see if an attack happens. If it' heads, a player of a creature will be randomly chosen to reply to that thread. (You will not be chosen if your characters are in thread or if your creature is already currently in an active one). If tails, no attack will happen.

- The thread a predator appears will end if the beast is slain, ran off or characters flee from it. It can also end if characters do not reply within two weeks. (Players involved may discuss aways or extending post dates among themselves if they would like!)

- If a predator does not reply within two weeks the thread also ends, but predator players cannot drop more than 3 threads or their predator will vanish. (Players involved may discuss aways or extending post dates among themselves if they would like!)

- All normal LC rules apply during fights with these beasts. (No PP/GP, can choose if you want your character to die to the creature or not)

- No posts can be made in packs by beasts unless invited by the alpha of the packs player. Even then the beast player is chosen will be at random to infiltrate.

- If a beast is slain the player playing it no longer will have a beast to play.

- Once all beasts are slain (or vanished) the plot will end and night will be safe again.

!Final Notes!
This plot can affect your characters as little or as much as you would like! It purely depends on how much you want your characters involved with these plots. Remember if you have any questions regarding plot designs or attacks on your characters please don't hesitate to ask!

Signs ups to play the beasts end on January 5th at 11:59 PM LC time. Please send staff your creature before then if you would like to play one! Extensions may be given if requested, but the plot will begin on the 6th!

Have fun everyone!
