Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

To Take What I'm Owed

Tithe
Pay me my dues.
Or I’ll take what I’m owed.

Her words struck a chord once again. The dagger she had stabbed into his back during their battle seemed to have never been removed and twisted once more against the bones of his spine. The knight took a deep intake of breath and slowly let it out through his clenched teeth. ‘You came to defend something you never had any right to.’ The truth of her belief spilled out before them. They were possibly ill thought out words The time he had spent in the mountains, the tasks he had done, relationships he had formed, and the efforts he had put forth to keep the pack together had meant nothing to her. Fact, logic, reason and understanding had slipped to the wayside in favor of blood-born ambition. The only sign of his continued struggle against the whispering monsters within himself was a slight dip in his head and another deep breath releasing slowly from his nose. When he looked back up at her, he was calm once again. His hurt and his anger masked far harder than they had ever been before. Her words and her judgements forging new armor and a new metal he knew he must learn to wield. He withdrew from her, from the world around herself she had created and turned once more into himself. Proving the colors he shined to one who was blind was fruitless.

I cannot describe to you how thankful I am that you helped me save my son. He breathed at last, letting the dying fires around them burn away his own ill feelings. And I cannot describe to you how I wish you well, and I wish you success, on your paths. With a bow of his head but no more submission shown, he nudged his copper coated son to his feet, touching him lightly with his paw then his nose. A final blink of farewell to Daenerys he backed away from his former queen, a woman he had once called friend.

He picked his through the charred and dead brush, saddened by the loss of life and beauty that had died that day. After much of a silent treck, Bazyl look up at his father with a soft whine. What does it mean, dad? Tithe hesitated to look down at him. What lesson would the young pup take from this encounter and what could he pass on to one so innocent, one he wanted to protect from the demons that lived within his own soul? We cannot change those around us when they wish not to try. Nor can we hate them for the life fate has created for them. We can only accept who they are, and who we are in relation. Hold true to your virtues, but never forget to listen and try to understand another who holds true to their’s.
