Blinking, my gaze lingered upon Malina as she seemed to ponder the matter of Diveen. She seemed somewhat discomfited by the query, and yet after a moment she shrugged and moved into a response that echoed my own recollections of Diveen's past. Her eyes met mine with sturdy resolve as she pressed further into the matter. Covet and Ambrosia had been harshly rejected by the majority of Isola's pack - though I could understand (to a certain degree) the reasons for both rejections. And yet it left the question of why the once proclaimed 'City of Angels' was so ready to accept a non-Angel ruler where before they had scoffed at the notion. And yet, I did not begrudge the changes, they simply left me curious. At Malina's soft grin, there was the hint of bemusement in my own features - a one sided quirk of my lips and a single raised brow.
Our eye contact broken, Malina turning to look out across Moladion to the south as I broached the subject of Iromar. Shifting slightly, I rolled my shoulders and settled in more comfortably. Though the issues at hand were of importance, Malina was a wolf in whose company I felt relaxed. We could discuss business and forgo the stiff formalities that others demanded in such situations. I valued her insight, and so when she brought up the notion that the last time a Moladion-wide man hunt had been declared it was for none other than Tobias, it shed a different light on the situation. Though I had readily offered whatever assistance or knowledge my pack might have held about Aranck to the young wolf, Pine, who had declared Aithne's intent to hunt the rapist down, I'd made no motions to help hunt him down myself. Perhaps if I had, things would be different than they were now. Perhaps Aithne would still be alive. But I'd long since learned that 'what ifs' were a waste of time and energy. Now it was my turn to hum softly beneath my breath as I considered this.
She spoke then of Taviora, a pack that had been on my mind of late as well. I nodded in agreement with her statements.
A yawn stretched my jaws wide, and as they closed once more I shook my head and turned to look at Malina once more. My tongue lapped up across my nose as relaxed in her company, still biding my time before I broached the matter of her residence in Spirane becoming something more official. I was curious if she had questions of me, or other matters to discuss - personal or otherwise. Presently, I did not press her, choosing instead to simply enjoy her company and outlook on the world.
