Initially Solstice blinked in confusion. She knew the burning, hollow, haunting gaze of her father. The intensity he looked at the world of the living and the dead was startling at first to any who were not used to it. The daughter did not know she shared her father’s fire gaze, balances with a frigid ice. Beltane’s continued description calmed her confusion and returned a smile to the young woman’s face. Her coat held the cream of Samhain and the muted sun as well as the shining silver of the moon that graced Samhain’s shining jacket. These answers were riddles, though, and had not completely given Solstice the picture of the whole.
Her head tilted to the side in curiosity. You are also looking for him? Though she felt a strange connection to the girl, she could not put a paw on why. The next question had her ears falling and the smile wiping from her face. She had not seen her father all winter season whereas he had once been far more diligent than that. Even when the others had been born he had ensured to visit her on occasion, walk her through the freelands, though always avoiding Asteraia. Since the snow falls his absence was felt like a heavy weight on her body. She was almost sure something was wrong.
