Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

The femme thought that she had had an idea of what life truly was like. But she had only seen a small part of the world. Living with her father had opened up some areas of life that many might not see because of his background. The pack he came from had been the worst of the worst, and though Shasta had heard some stories, it was not the same as living it. Even if she thought she understood an inkling of it, she was wrong. Nothing would compare to actually experience the torture, both physical and mental, that her father, and many like him, had gone through. And another varg that had experienced this was standing right in front of her. All she wanted to do was to take away the pain, to make it all disappear as if it had never happened. But there was no way for her to do that. Noone deserved to go through what Horizon and Akuji had gone through. The only good thing that had happened today was that Farant, and many of his minions, were dead. Never going to take a breath, lying dead on the ground where they belonged.

A whine escaped Shasta’s throat at her helplessness, wanting, wishing, to be able to do anything at all to make things easier for the male that she had grown to love. This was a new feeling that she had never experienced. She loved her father, but that was a different kind of love. This was love that she never dreamed could actually exist. But here she was, with another brute wishing more than anything in the world to just be with him and that the rest of the world didn’t exist at all. Things fell more and more into place as time went on with them. She felt his tongue upon her, and she leaned into the touch, wanting to feel all of him and touch as much as him as possible, to pull away the pain that he was experiencing. As she lay on the ground, reaching up to pull Horizon down, she realized that was not necessary as he was going down with her, wrapping his taller form around her. The two fit like a perfect puzzle, and there was no way that they were not perfect for each other, at least in Shasta’s opinion.

A whine escaped her again, wanting to communicate with Horizon, wanting him to know that he was everything to her and that she would never hurt her the way so many others had. He nuzzled her, and she leaned into his touch, reaching up to kiss along his cheekbone affectionately. She placed her head upon his paws, knowing that nothing bad could happen now that they were together. After a moment he laid his head upon her own and a content sigh escaped from Shasta’s throat. She couldn’t imagine anything happier than this moment. She felt his tongue caressing her, and she nuzzled more into him if it was possible to get even closer. She heard a whine escape him and she twisted her neck so her chocolate brown orbs met his mismatched ones. She wished that he would just tell her what he was thinking, but Shasta was figuring out that he didn’t seem to be able to speak right now. She didn’t want to push him, but she also didn’t want to seem as if she was ignoring hi by not speaking at all.

”Horizon.” All she said was his name for now, wanting him to know that she was still here with him, but afraid to ask him anything if he wasn’t ready to talk. But she needed to say something. She didn’t want to sit in complete silence when she knew he was hurting in such a way. The pair were comfortable together, but she wanted it to be perfect and make the hurt stop. ”What can I do? I want to take it away, I want you to be happy. I want you to feel loved.” Shasta knew that she loved Horizon, was in love with the handsome brute. Really she stood no change from the moment she saw him. But she didn’t know how to just say that. To say those three seemingly simple words were the hardest words to say. And instead she pushed into his neck, nuzzling and licking at him, hoping that he would understand what she truly meant. Her plume reached behind her to touch him, as if she couldn’t bear to have any space between him and her.

Talking
hearing you words
my thoughts
I walk on
