She remembers growing up with Juno and Christian, the love they shared had always been her goal to have for her own life. It was simple, but pure. And she knew that as her years went on, and the scars she had gained, externally and internally, that she was loosing her chance at finding that. She always wondered if Mae and Kronos felt the way Juno and Christian did. But with never knowing them. Never meeting them, she had no idea who her own parents were honestly like and that drove her nuts most days. She loved her family now, and she fancied that she was like Juno, knowing that she had to be who she was in her heart. She wanted to be the best she could be, and she wondered if she’d leave enough of an impression on anyone before she left. She hoped so. She had given up on Inessa and Laerah, they’d gone their own ways, and she knew that they had made their own choices. Part of her was okay with it, Mainly because Laerah reminded her of Malacath and the horrible things he’d done to her. She’d always remember that.
He grinned, and she felt her muscles relax a little more as he spoke, then laid down. She was still weary, yes, merely due to her own history. She hoped she was able to conceal the slight uneasy feeling, her trepidation was almost showing, she knew that. She drew in a slow breath, her galaxy eyes watching the water for a moment before she was drawn back to him, eyes trying to take in everything at once, when his smooth voice clouded her thoughts. “The pleasure is mine Panzer.” the soft smile on her face was true and honest. She lets herself begin to relax a little more, seeing the ease he was at made it to where she wasn’t fearing that she needed to prepare herself for an attack. Gods, how she hoped she was right.
When her eyes flicked to the sky, wishing it was dark, so she could see her favorite night sky, his voice drew her back down, and she felt something in her soften. What though, she was not sure, and he made her smile even more with his words. “It most certainly is. I don’t remember the last time I had a company.”
