VENUE CHANGE: London Listener Gathering on Saturday 28th January IP: 126.96.36.199 Posted on January 18, 2017 at 07:28:06 PM by Phil Lloyd
Our next get-together will be on Saturday 28th January, from about midday onwards. This will NOT be at the Metropolitan Bar, as the recent refurbishment means it is no longer suitable for a gathering like ours. So we will be at the Sir John Oldcastle, Farringdon, another Wetherspoons pub, where we were in October. Their website is here. The pub is at the junction of Farringdon Road and Greville Street, a short walk from Farringdon Station, along Cowcross Street. Apart from overground services, the station is on the Metropolitan, Circle, and Hammersmith & City lines.
For some friendly crossword chat over a drink, come along and join us! There should be a good range of decent beers, plus the usual Wetherspoons food. There is no official “end time” to these gatherings – please don’t arrive too late in the day. We expect there will be the usual mix of solvers, setters, editors and others closely associated with the world of thematic cryptics.
Our dates aren’t changing, and remain the last Saturdays in January, April, July and October.
If you’d like to be on the email reminder list for these gatherings, just let me know.
