It wasn’t that Ame didn’t trust his friend. He would follow Halcyon to the ends of the earth if he asked. It was more an issue of making sure he was doing the right thing for the right reasons. He didn’t want this to become something his friend would grow to regret the rest of his life. He wasn’t sure of his intentions, but his choice of words… his recruitment of others it worried Ame slightly. He also wanted to make sure Halcyon knew the implications of what he was doing. Ame was sure the red-brown wolf knew what he wanted, more than anything else in the world Halcyon would set his mind on something then do it. He heard about his challenge of Asteraia, but he never worried about that. He was happy that he was alive of course, happy that outcome happened if nothing else but he knew he had lost. Since then he wondered what Halcyon wanted to do, but for now he was focusing on the matter of Iromar.

He saw his form droop and Ame shook his head and smiled, reassuring that he was not upset by his actions more that he needed to make sure they were not going to harm those there that were innocent. After all if Aranck was the one who did the dead, wasn’t it only him that needed to pay? He wasn’t trying to discourage him just make sure it was right. Halcyon told him he might have a few, but he held the former prince as hostage. A frown creased the edges of Ame’s maw then, especially as they continued by saying that they believed he was being treated poorly. ”Is there no on on the inside left to tell you of his wellbeing?” Perhaps… Ame could go see. Being a loner had its perks and for a long time he had the smell of nothing on him. It would work perhaps, but to what extent he didn’t know.

Ame’s gaze didn’t leave Halcyon’s own, especially as he pleaded with him. His ears fell back slightly, did Halcyon really think he was upset that he needed some more pushing. That surely wasn’t how he felt at all, it almost worried him a bit that he felt so strongly. ”Hero, yes this one does want to help save those that need it, but this one also doesn’t want to hurt those that don’t deserve it. This one believes you, believes Aranck is a bad wolf needing removed to help others, return balance to the pack, but this one does not want you to go in and hurt yourself either.
