It's been a tough week! I might as well tell my family here (not on facebook) that my daughter, Stacia, has cancer of the kidneys and lymphoid. We won't know until further tests are done, just how far along the cancer is...but we do know it's only in one kidney (which will be taken out surgically first) and a chemo schedule will be set up after the surgery. In the meantime, Keith and I have purchased a mobile home close to our house in Monroe so Stacia can be near me and I can drive her to doctor appointments, etc. It's a positive step I need to deal with the hardest thing I have ever faced (and the it's the same for Stacia).
I called Shara and she has given me some good advice and support, and I put a call into my ex-husband, Bruce who is a doctor as well. I am gathering all the knowledge and courage I can muster so I can be strong and positive for Stacia!
Please pray for us... because having such good friends and family means everything!
