are the dead really silent?I cannot tell if the voice is true or a scream of those who have called me. It reaches for my ears just as the grips of the shadows paw at my fur. My body is crumpling in on itself, rejecting the crime I had committed, trying to keep what of itself within as it can. The soul I had born, the soul I had lost, the love I had cherished, and the life I had tried to spread. I cannot breath through it all. I cannot find stable footing in this world I have come to walk in.
I look up at the creature who stood before me. My eyes struggle to focus and fight the images of a world long lost trying to call me back. The depths of death matched only by the height of life that I reached for. I tried. I tried to walk the trails, to stay on the path fate and the world had created for me. I tripped, I fell, madness had taken its toll.
Please… I beg. I cannot leave them alone. I had run. I cannot leave them in hate. I had left them. For a brief, shining second I thought I had taken the madness, the danger away.But there were others. Others I knew would try to find them. They are loved. They are loved by the world around them. Their sisters. I am sorry. I cannot speak how sorry… Crushed under the weight of the wrong, as I look up to this stranger wolf my body sinks even lower. The large bulk that once had fought to defend and rolled to play now coiled to the ground, broken and battered without a scratch.
