From the time she was a pup Arace had been trained in the use of all her senses. Even now, in her exhaustion, she strains her ears so much so that the sound of eager paws draws her yellow eyes, the white flecks seeming bright against the yellow. Her white lips peel back into a snarl, the upper half of her muzzle an array of sienna, white, and black that travels up and around her eyes and head, fading into her back with a mostly black cape. It is a warning. She is not a small female although she appears willowy with her long legs nor is she too weak to hold her own. While she did not love the pups it was her duty as a mother to ensure their survival and perhaps, in time, if she decided to companionship she would come back and show them the ways of her life as an assassin.
The girl whines her encouragement and in return Arace growls louder but Solstice merely smiles and Arace has begun to suspect that the girl is of no ill intent. Still, it makes for a rough childbirth to be so wary. She blinks hard when the youth begins to congratulate her and then offer her assistance. It is... odd, but she was trained to be suspicious. Perhaps that is only why she feels such. "No," she answers, her voice slow as if she is considering it yet feminine. "But perhaps you could help me. I must deliver these pups to their father in Iromar and I don't have much strength. He is just beyond the border and knows that they are coming. Do you suppose you could take them for me?" Now her eyes trail down a little and Arace finds herself falling back into her role as spymaster and actress. A little white lie wouldn't hurt the girl and if she took them then so be it, it would make things simple for Arace.
