Disaster has struck!
I am Bandit.
He liked girls with spirit, girls with something worth breaking. Not just any girl would do. He was quite picky if he said so himself. A shy withdrawn girl like Mags would only draw out his playful side. He might bully her a little and tease her just enough to make her crawl back into that cursed corner, but if she was out here, he would walk on by after having his fun. She wasn't the type he would kidnap and punish. Those spots were only for the wealthy souls. The challenging fillys with lessons to be learned.
All girls had a story and he'd been told a good bit. There was Valley, the oldest girl that he'd ever kidnapped. She was three but a frail twiggy little thing. She barely put up a fight when she found out that she wasn't leaving the den he took her to. She cried and boo hoo-ed for maybe two days then her sniffles calmed down and she tried to make conversation, tried to connect with him. He figured someone had told her tactics for getting out of hostage situations, but that shit didn't work on him. He only chuckled and indulged her, sitting to have chats with her and learn about her sisters and her over protective parents.
It was funny watching her try to deal with the others. She got so confused and it only led to more helplessness when Diesel took over for a day and tried to grant her, her freedom. I was still able to throw my voice out and it really messes up a wolf's mind to hear someone talking to themselves and saying yes and no in the same sentence. She only drove herself further into a corner and cried some more. It was quite amusing.
When he heard the tiny voice calling out in a stammer, it was like music to his ears. At first he thought Mags might be trying to talk but when he checked her, she was quivering in her corner, like she already knew what was coming. Good, let her watch. Let them all watch.
He slowly turned to the girl, his lips tugging into a charismatic grin as his tail gave a few swishes.
"WELL, HELLO THERE, LITTLE CHICA."
She told him her name and he only grinned bigger, his eyes glistening like diamonds. Jackpot. It's like it was meant to be. He could feel Diesel stirring and he clamped down on him before he could warn the girl. You see, Orb had a heirarchy of personalities, you could say. Bandit and Diesel were the strongest with Orb coming up third then poor shy Mags. Bandit and Diesel often fought over the top spot with both being about the strongest but if Bandit jumped on it early, he could cut Diesel off at the pass and hold him down, at least for another few hours.
"A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU, SOMA. I AM BANDIT. I WAS TALKING TO THIS LITTLE BEETLE HERE, SEE? IT'S TRYING TO BE ALL BIG AND SCARY BUT IF YOU TALK TO IT AND TELL IT THAT YOU'RE NOT SCARED, IT WILL GIVE UP AND GO AWAY. THAT'S HOW YOU OUTSMART BUGS. WHAT, NO ONE EVER TAUGHT YOU THAT?"
He was turning on the charm big time, trying to win her trust. His eyes even got all wide and innocent when he asked like it's blasphemy that no one would have told her that before.
