aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Seraphina allowed Kael to rub against her in greeting, an amicable smile on her face though she made no move to return it. The smile faded as Mireille made the visitors’ intentions clear and Sera bit her lip. She didn’t want to leave. This was more her home than Summer Eclipse was. Vladimir, barely containing his anger, knew this as well as she did. “Seraphina is home and it is here this is her rightful place.” The corner of Conan’s eye twitched and he opened his maw to put the boy in his place, but it was then that a new varg arrived. Instead, the king held his head higher, waiting for the brute to speak. In the brief silence, Sera gave Vlad a soft shake of her head, hoping he understood. Arguing with her parents would only make things worse. Then her emeralds shifted to the newcomer. He wasn’t from Aurora, else she would have seen him before. But he called Vladimir his brother. He seemed to have a lot of mystery siblings.

Aindreas was an excellent diplomat, rather unlike his younger brother. The ivoro was calm and smart about what he said. At last; someone who could be reasoned with. Conan wanted to jump for joy at this. “Thank you, Aindreas. I am Conan and this is my mate, Mireille.” The queen offered a smile to Aindreas and dipped her head to him. They listened respectfully as the brute offered them a tour and nodded approvingly when Kael accepted, looking between him and Seraphina. This would be an excellent time for the two of them to catch up and form a connection. They had to make up for months of time together in a far shorter time. An encouraging look was sent the princess’ way. “Well, darling? What do you think?”

It had been a question, but there was really only one acceptable answer. “Of course. Will you be joining us as well?” She raised a brow at her parents. Sera never had been able to tell with them. They made decisions based on benefit. “Regretfully, I think we will retire to the dens instead. It’s been a long trip and we aren’t as young as Kael is.” Conan chuckled. “I look forward to discussing this on more tranquil terms.” His eyes gleamed slightly as he and Mireille headed off for the mountains. One way or another, he would make sure everything went as he had planned.

Seraphina tilted her head slightly at her parents’ backs. There had to be some sort of ulterior motive to this, but she wasn’t sure what it was. As Kael reached her, she realized that Aindreas had stepped between her and Vladimir, acting as a barrier. It was probably for the better, but she couldn’t help but frown slightly at this. Sera knew that she had to explain things to Vlad, she just didn’t know when she’d get a chance. For now, her attention turned to Kael and she smiled at him. “So what have you been up to while I’ve been away?” She asked. Having skipped out on the duties of an heir, she was actually rather curious.
