Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I am Orb.
It was like he could feel her inner power, like he could see the potential for her to be something great and he only wanted to encourage her in her every endeavor. She showed her grace through her ability to completely ignore Bandit's advances to get under her skin. Every time he spoke out of turn, she would flatten her ears and act like he didn't exist. Orb could tell that Bandit was pissed about it but he found himself oddly satisfied with this development. He would rather her keep ignoring him if it meant Orb could spend more time in her company. He was growing to like it more and more.
All he could think to do when Bandit spoke was to apologize and hope Elowen didn't turn on him but it was almost as if she could understand. Like she knew he had no hold on the other male inside of him. Diesel was being polite, letting Orb have his privacy with the girl while Mags watched on in wonder, chewing the inside of her cheek and staring like they're playing out a good book. She was always a hidden romantic and she liked seeing Orb so caught up in a girl. She thought it was the best thing ever. Diesel considered himself quite the wingman, to have let Orb borrow some of his courage to talk to the girl in the first place. Now he was going to excuse himself like any good wingman does and let Orb take over and charm her. He had faith in him to do just that.
When Elowen suddenly leaned in close, Orb stiffened but held his ground. What was she doing? Her nose was almost touching his before he knew it and he gasped in surprise, holding his breath. His ears flicked back in uncertainty. There was a weird look in her eyes, almost like someone else was looking at him in this moment and he felt a shiver run up his spine.
When she spoke, it sounded almost foreign and while he wanted to ask why, something told him she wasn't altogether talking to him but rather to someone inside him. Bandit growled. He hated to be targeted and even worse to think that someone would pity him, of all things. Orb could tell that Bandit was pissed, and yet he wasn't pushing to answer. He was actually staying quiet.
Orb merely blinked a few times, staring into her eyes like he could see into her soul. She was so beautiful, even so close. Her lips tugged into a smirk and he felt his own lips trying to answer back, twitching as if to smile. When he spoke, she wagged her tail and he could see her muscles literally relaxing, like she felt safe with him. That was odd in itself, since Orb never remembered someone being safe with him, not while Bandit was around.
She moved to follow him to the lake and he felt more confident with every stride he took to the banks. He wondered if Diesel was still playing wingman somehow, still beside him in spirit to help him in this encounter. There's a first for everything, he supposed. He noticed as they walked that he couldn't hear her foot steps. It was as if he walked with a ghost. He glanced over momentarily as if to make sure and there she was, as breathtaking as ever. How was it that she could be so stealthy? He didn't understand.
When he spoke of her reflection, he looked over to gauge her reaction and only saw her blinking as if in shock. His ears flicked back, wondering if he had freaked her out. Maybe he shouldn't have said that. She leaned back from the water, her own ears touching her skull and he scowled softly, suddenly feeling embarassed. She looked down at her paws and he did the same, skuffing his paw in the dirt as he tried to think of something better to say, something charming, something wouldn't make him feel any more foolish than he already did.
At her sudden question, he looked up, tongue tied. He thought he knew what she wanted. To be reassured that she was indeed beautiful in his eyes. Any female would want to be reassured right? But Orb wasn't usually one to give out compliments and so he was frozen now, unsure how to proceed. He couldn't comprehend if she liked that he called her beautiful or if she was hoping he'd change the subject.
She continued to question, throwing in comparisons like stars and flowers and even butterflies. He wanted to tell her that yes, he had seen them and they did not even begin to compare. He wanted to look her right in her gorgeous eyes and tell her that the world itself would wither at the sight of her. His lips parted, but nothing came out. His eyes were locked on her with a deer in the headlights expression. That's when Diesel decided the wingman was needed.
"OF COURSE, HE WILL. HE'S HEAD OVER HEELS FOR YOU, DEAR.
The deep baritone of Diesel leaked out to assure her, the german accent strong but his tone confident. Mags giggled despite herself, speaking in a singsong voice.
"ORB AND ELOWEN SITTING IN A TREE, K-I-S-S..."
Her voice was cut off by Diesel, fixing her with a scolding look.
"NOW, NOW, MAGS. NO TEASING. LET THE BOY HAVE HIS CRUSH."
Bandit rolled his eyes at this point.
"WELL, CUT MY EYES FROM MY SKULL AND KILL ME NOW THEN, CHICO, CAUSE I WANT NONE OF IT. I'M QUITE DISGUSTED, ACTUALLY."
Diesel growled deep in his throat.
"SHUT IT, BANDIT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WATCH. YOU'RE WELCOME TO LEAVE AT ANY TIME."
He nudged his head as if showing him the door. Bandit chuckled bitterly.
"YOU AND I BOTH KNOW THAT'S NOT AN OPTION. I'M STUCK HERE JUST AS MUCH AS YOU ARE.
Orb could hear him muttering spanish as he walked away. At least it seemed like he wasn't going to take part in this conversation anymore. Now he just had Diesel and Mags to worry about. Good thing they were harmless. But what about Elowen? How would she see him now that all of them decided to spring into voice? His eyes widened again as he looked at her, almost afraid to see her expression.
