Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Her ears flattened at the approach of another, she was tired but she had worked hard to keep her children well nourished and refused to lose them within the few hours she had brought them into this world. Before a snarl could fall from her lips she hears familiarity that chimes in her ears. Her ears pricked forwards as her son pressed himself into her den. Perhaps if it had been her daughter she wouldn’t have been so welcoming and yet it is with her son she feels comfort similar to that of her tricolored beast and yet perhaps more so as Ripper was wise enough not to try his siblings. She rested her head on the cool earth listening to her children and keeping a curious eye on her eldest son. He had always been an observant creature.

Her head lifts slightly at his question and a humored smile crosses her muzzle. “He will come in time and as strong as you are my son, even you couldn’t keep him at bay even if I desired it. Now, to what do I owe this meeting?” She extended her muzzle breathing in his scent and offering her touch and allowing him some time to speak before continuing her own conversation. “It is nice to see you again, I am glad to see you fared rather well on your own.” She shook her head and passively smiled with a hint of grimace to it. “I rather hate packs but we do what we must for our children, a lesson I am certain you will learn in the near future.” She was pleased at the wolf he was becoming he would be strong and although she adored her tricolored beast perhaps her son was to be more attentive to his own.

A deep sigh escaped Enya’s lungs as she craned her neck to look at the pups that nursed at her belly. “They favor him, your brothers, all but your youngest sister.” She debated silently keeping her eyes fixated on them. Instinct desired her newborns sheltered but as her gaze returned to that of Ripper she offered something she would rarely allow anyone permission to do; “You may touch them, but do not move them. They will grow swiftly but for now I will keep them beside me.” She spoke but fell silent once more listening to her son before resting her head once more. She could still respond but it offered him a better view of his siblings and it allowed her to rest and unwind a little more in his company.
