The last born sons of Iblis and Rhae stood facing each other, both with their own stories and scars to show the rough times they had been through since they had left Asteraia all those years ago. Halcyon watched Mugen smile at his comment, a grin that didn’t seem to reach his eyes, as he told the russet wolf of his exploits as a rogue. Upon hearing that he had fought an entire pack of scoundrels by himself, and then shrug it off as if it were nothing, Halcyon couldn’t help but chuckle. Neither may not have known it, but Mugen was much like Iblis had been in his youth. A fighter without a real path to follow, someone who was living just for the thrill of the fight.
Nodding as the cream wolf continued to speak, Halcyon smiled again and offered a wag of his own tail. "Yes, I was given the lands peacefully by the previous alpha. She and her mate have both passed and now our family has taken control once again." The new king gazed around the flat lands with pride. He may not have fought for the right to rule, but he would shed blood to remain as the alpha and protect his family and his pack. Turning back to Mugen, the other began bragging of his skill and his brother couldn’t help but nod. There was no denying that the prince could offer a lot to Asteraia.
"Well, if your badassness wants to stay, you always have a home here." he said in jest, turning to walk with his brother deeper into Asteraia. "So far it’s only you and Viserys who have returned to Asteraia. I don’t know where the others are, but I hope they are happy." A small frown crept on the red boy’s face at the thought of his siblings. He had thought that Isolde would have at least returned with Vis, but she was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he would have to search for her. Lucero, Gaia, and Cae were always the odd three of their kin. Born before their parents had become alphas, they each set off on their own and hadn’t had the same connection with the land as the rest had. Turning to see his brother, Halcyon allowed the smile to return. At least he had him. They may not have been very close, but they were blood, and blood was important. "So, tell me, what do you want to do here? I don’t see a rogue like you wanting to follow in Dad’s steps and be a warrior. What kind of “badass" skills do you have to offer?"
