He always knew that some day he would return to Moladian. He never really felt complete while he was with the Demonican wolves. It felt good to be among others like himself, but he always felt like something was missing. Today, he felt like that piece of himself that had been empty for so long was just out of reach and it was all becoming more and more clear. Belhara had done something to him that day in the crags when she'd gotten him to jump over the edge just to impress her. Sure, she didn't force him or anything, but he wanted to be a lasting memory for him and so far he was pretty sure he had succeeded in that. It certainly seemed like she'd never forgotten about him. And he was going to make sure she never would. He entered the large open area cautiously but without fear, knowing that if she was lurking in there, he would just keep searching until he found her and if she jumped him...well, then he would just be that much closer to touching her. The air in here felt electric, almost as if the air was buzzing with energy. His fur bristled to life but not in aggression, more in anticipation.
His ears swiveled around, trying to pinpoint any little sound of movement, anything to provide a location. His blue eyes blinked and searched the darkness continuously for something other than darkness. He almost enjoyed the idea that she might be just inches away from him even now. He could almost smell her, almost feel her. He was so close, he could taste it. And then movement. His head snapped around right as she launched at him, his body frozen too long, just long enough for her mouth to nip at his right hind paw as she ran past. He snatched it back with a growl of warning but she was already running past and looking back with a grin like she was all too pleased with herself. His eyes lit up at the sight of her and without hesitation now, he was on the move in hot pursuit, his long legs eating up the distance between them as he ran for all he was worth to catch her. To make matters better, she had slowed down, as if he needed the advantage but he was in top shape and he was ready to pounce on her, enough momentum in his run to send them both toppling over and rolling clear across the cavern if he didn't miss. He wouldn't leap into the air until he was close enough to be sure of success, otherwise he would just stay on her tail until the opportune moment presented itself.
"SEE? I KNEW YOU MISSED ME. CAN'T KEEP YOURSELF OFF OF ME, CAN YOU?"
He huffed with satisfaction from behind her, a wolfish grin tugging at his lips as he snapped at the air behind her, teasing her. If he got close enough, he would nip at her flanks like a stallion herding his mares, claiming her in his own way as his tail lashed behind him. His eyes gleamed with the chase as he lowered his head, almost stalking her as he nipped at her hocks in play, ready to return the favor she had given his back paw. It didn't hurt or anything but he wasn't about to let her have the last bite.
