A lot of things changed and very quickly for the child. First he was being somewhat groomed to be heir and next his father poisoned and his life turned upside down. He didn’t care, being the next king never mattered to the chocolate and gold colored boy, but Teza could tell it mattered to his twin. Something wasn’t right with Tepi he could tell he was frustrated with how this stranger had taken over. Teza still didn’t care in the slightest. The pack was safe, still running smoothly and their aunt was also in charge. Perhaps it hadn’t been them to take it, but they were far to young and Teza understood his father’s feelings that he couldn’t guard the pack. He had witnessed first hand the horrors of one of his father’s seizures. He couldn’t control himself he just would fall over and convulse on the ground. Sometimes a more peaceful one would happen where he would just stop and stare for a time, frozen in place before shaking himself out of it but one thing was for sure. It wasn’t going away.

Teza didn’t mourn the loss of his prince-hood, he would give it up any time if it meant his father was well again. He never cared about ruling Taviora, just keeping it safe was enough and Teza knew he didn’t need to be a king to protect the pack from intruders. He could do that just fine by being a warrior that served the lands by keeping his Aunt and her partner safe. That was what mattered not him. This land had his father’s blood and his grandfather’s blood spilled upon it to keep it safe and Teza wouldn’t think twice about spilling his own.

He snapped out of his train of thought when he heard the brush rustling around him. He knew immediately based on the scent it had been his twin brother skirting about. "Tepi, I know it’s you." The boy said softly looking around through the trees unable to see him through the brush. One good and bad thing about them was their fur and how they blended with the trunks of the trees and leaf litter of the forest they were hard to spot if they felt inclined to hide. Teza never really could hide. Tepi was so much leaner and faster and as they grew Teza seemed to just get more and more bulky. At first site and if you didn’t know them well they easily could be mistaken for one another. He moved towards the sounds surprised then when he rounded the corner and in fact didn’t see his brother but a strange slate and tan girl.

Teza blinked throroughly confused by the site of the other child but knew his brother probably just sucked him into something he had yet to understand. Tepi was a prankster, it wouldn’t be the first time Teza had unknowingly been roped into something. Teza only could hope now that she would understand when he explained and hopefully Tepi didn’t do anything to bad to her to make her angry. That was one thing that Teza wished would change. He wished that Tepi wouldn’t cause troubles for others, mostly him, but Teza loved him and tried to subsequently keep him out of trouble too. Even if it meant sometimes accepting whatever blame was placed on himself.
