I am Diesel. He was not taught of these gods she spoke up. His mother only believed that good things happened to good wolves and vice versa. If one were to give her examples of how bad things could happen to good wolves also, she would just say that the strongest wolves were tested to prove their true strength, that nothing would happen to them that they couldn't handle. Her point was that he needed to stay strong, to carry on no matter what. His father believed in karma and some wolves just ran into bad luck and that's the way it goes. There was no destiny or story already written. We wrote it ourselves as time wore on and we had no one to blame but ourselves for anything that happened from it. The female sat up and straightened with a sigh and one brow rose, wondering if she was impatient with him already for having to ask about the gods. Then she said that each god was different and that some walked among us, watching us. It was like a big conspiracy and while Diesel was a skeptic at heart, he had always been taught to keep an open mind. He glanced around as if making sure no one of suspect were watching them now before he gave her a sly look. "SO WHAT YOU'RE SAYING IS YOU YOURSELF COULD BE A GOD IN DISGUISE, TESTING ME." His eyes glittered a bit with some humor, hoping she wouldn't take great offense to it. He was only trying to lighten the mood. She watched him with a mixture of curiosity and confusion when the others spoke out and he waited for her to say something but she didn't. His ears flicked back, wondering what she must be thinking. Would she think him bad luck? Think that the gods have already cursed him? Wouldn't be the first time he was exiled for being himself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Confused? See my Info Page |
