All of Tithe’s focus was on protecting the youth from the claws and jaws of the bear. As Teza was thrown to the side, the pup’s pain ignited a rage in the silver male. His snarl cut through the air, meeting and matching the grunts and roars of the bear. The knight bristled to his fullest, eyes blazing and everything in him on cold fire. Teza’s words were lost on him as he darted forward to distract and enrage the bear as much as he could. Anything to get the beast’s attention on him, the greater threat, instead of the fallen prince.

The moment the bear lifted to its hind legs, the agile wolf took his chance. He raced in and used his own large bulk the throw into and bite at the bear’s supporting legs. His teeth could do little more than be annoyances through the thick fur, but hopefully it was distracting enough to give the by enough time to limb away. At every turn and movement the bear made, Tithe made sure he was there to bring focus back on himself. In a moment of distraction, when Tithe made sure Teza was no longer nearby, the bear’s heavy paw clouted him in the side. He went tumbling but quickly regained his feet. Another snarl at the bear and Tithe raced away as swiftly as he could. He made sure to take a path that led far far away from Taviora, enticing the bear away from the pack before he, too made his escape from the barreling danger that had taken up residency in the freelands.
