Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

She is black steel, with muscle covering her from head to toe. Despite being of the RAINBOW, she was not petite and fatty like that of her mother. She was a horse of a wolf, with tan gold eyes that shine from her silver mask. The woman was tall, and takes after that of her father. Neither had she seen in years, death has perhaps taken them. She had not forgotten them, and even wondered about her brother Leonidas. Her paws had taken her far, far away from her, and it was her paws that brought her all the way back. She enjoyed all the sights and all the smells, but it was a...lonely journey, with no many wolves to be had over the years.

She had longed to return to Moladion. She was not quite sure how to get back, but eventually she made it back. It only took a few years for her large form to return to the land of her birth. It was new and exciting again, and brought much nostalgia as she came into the riverside. It was near where she was born, near Spirane. She saw the tall mountain in the distance on this sunny blue day. Her tail wagged gently as she looked upon it. Perhaps soon she will visit there to see what has become of it.

Today though, it was a bit on the warm side. It was past peak sun, and the hottest part of the day. As she walked, she felt the heat of the sun on her black fur that was flecked with white. Her tongue hung out of her mouth as she came upon the river. The clouds were fluffy ahead, and she desired to cool down.

She yipped as she saw the water. Her mouth felt dry like sandpaper at this point. She rushed over with a kick to her step, pushing through the grass until she saw the crisp liquid right before her. Her eyes grew wide as she threw her muzzle down for a drink until she was satisfied. She licked her lips as she lifted her head again, viewing the mountain ahead for a moment. She then suddenly jumped in, splashing the water into the air as she got herself completely wet. She enjoyed the feeling, and decided to stay a little while longer wading in a calmer part of the river.
