Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice ....................................................................................................................................................................................
Chenzii had been the first to arrive, and had greeted him warmly, and in response Kalgalath had leapt from his throne down in order to rub against her affectionately. Emotion flood through him - she was one of his oldest friends, and was his oldest friend that still remained inside of the boundaries of the pack. “Chenzii, it is also good to see you. You have been absent as of late and I have missed our conversations, but I suppose we all had to hide from the harsh summer this year - the worst that I think we have had thus far!” He chuckled before returning to his spot upon the throne, just in time for his mate to arrive. Arctics watched as Sebring too affectionately greeted Chenzii as he had, and again he questioned his decision - was leaving their friends, their family and their home the right choice in order to follow the traditions of a land far away? Sighing, Kalgalath nodded absently to himself and forced a smile to his lips - he had made the vow when he had come of age to do so, and he was a wolf of his word. Besides - this would hopefully help Aindreas to find his own path and force Vladimir and Castiel to grow up some. A smile came to his lips as Sebring joined him on the boulder and kissed his worries away, no doubt reading his mind as she spoke words of comfort to him in quiet, whispered words. “I know, my love. But I will always have my doubts.” Cranium lifted as his flickered audettes caught the sound of approaching paw steps. Khaleesi was next, and Kalgalath greeted her warmly but did not miss the fae’s wavering glance as she looked for, no doubt, her mother. “Welcome, Khaleesi. I trust you are doing well? Tell me, how are you liking your continued studies with your mother?”
Almost before Khaleesi would have a chance to respond, though, Vladimir galloped onto the scene and pushed his way between Kal and Sebring. An amused look came to Kal’s facade until he peered down and saw that Vladimir was covered in dried mud. “Vladimir…” An exasperated sigh fell from his kissers - there was always time for fun and games, but if Vladimir was going to take over the pack for Aindreas some day, he would have to learn when it was time for work and time for play. But no more words of reprimand fell, as Vladimir mumbled something under his breath that Kalgalath did not miss. So… Vladimir had found out. Kalgalath leaned down, his tongue escaping to caress the top of Vladimir’s head. “It will be alright, son. I promise.” Another sigh was whispered - it would all be easier and better once an explanation was given to the pack, the decision out in the open. Then conversation could take place so that they would all be comfortable with it. Kal turned his attention to a varg who sat on the outside, and smiled at the shadowed femme. “Rift!” He called out jovially to her. “It is good to see you, my friend.” And indeed it was - the wolf was hardly ever present, but always had made sure to appear for the rare pack meetings that he held, which was fine with the King - he wanted the pack to be a home to all, and if she was not social that was fine with him.
Next to show up was Seraphina and a stranger, and while Kal narrowed his lids at the brute he didn’t know, he did not say anything for it was obvious that it was someone from Sera’s past - they were of the same breed and clearly knew each other. “Welcome, you two. Sera, darling, you and Vladimir have been down by the lake again I see…” He couldn’t help but laugh - the two were inseparable and if one was in trouble, the other was too. But that only left Castiel, who normally accompanied the pair. But oddly enough, though Sera and the stranger had come in the same direction that Vladimir had, Castiel came from another direction… and was clean and not even dabbled by any bits of mud.
Finally, Jorah and Hellene arrived, with the hessian arriving first and Hellene on his heels. Jorah smiled at the royals upon their throne before beginning conversation with Chenzii, whereas Hellene moved to her daughter’s side, and rubbed against Khaleesi. Kalgalath nodded a few times, before opening his maw to speak. The time of his plume swept above his sons in order to touch his mate for support for what he was about to say. “I appreciate that all of you have come, renewing your loyalty to me but more importantly, to this pack. For all the years that I have ruled here, I have stroved to make it a place where all are welcome and safe, and everyone can be exactly who they want to be. No matter what, Aurora Borealis will always remain that as long as a Tyrell sits upon the throne, even if it is not Sebring and I. That being said, many of you know that my father died about one year ago, for the news was brought to us by Jorah. By my family’s law, I must now take my father’s throne. Vladimir and Castiel are heirs to the throne, but until they are of age, my eldest son Aindreas will hold the throne - many of you know him already as he visits often. I will of course miss you all, and now unfortunately I have placed you all in a difficult decision. Aindreas will arrive shortly, and before we all leave you have a decision to make. Your first option is to stay here and live under Aindreas. Your second decision is to leave with Sebring and I to my father’s land. Your last decision to leave Aurora Borealis. I will understand no matter which you choose, and am here to answer whatever questions you may have.”
OOC - if you choose to go which Kalgalath, your character will be put on hiatus just FYI as the pack is not within Blossom Forest (aka doesn’t exist actually)
