Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

THOTH
I NEED TO TAKE SEVEN...I MIGHT TAKE YOUR'S

Their eyes peered into each other’s. Burning orange meeting the pale blue. Thoth silently begged the universe to show him what she saw. He knew the feelings within him, he knew what they meant to him, but he needed to know what the rest of the world saw, to confirm this fate had been true.

Her words struck him like a symbol in his chest. The truth could not be denied. His inside burned with it and his body swayed with the rocking nature of the balance of the earth. Silence, it seemed, fell even deeper onto the muted pup. It’s heavy unfeeling weight settling itself on his shoulders and sinking him deeper into the ground. His mouth opened briefly under the slowly crushing force. It felt as though the earth were settling on him as he diminished into nothing. Yet still he remained. A part of him still walked the earth and his spirit scattered. Not all of hims was here with him. More than ever, for the first time since the time on the mountain, he felt the dirt of the earth beneath his feet.

The sun shined down from between the trees, and Thoth did not look up at his name, nor the sounds his sister made. The light flooded the world around him as light often did. He felt a stranger warmth and comfort in the rays that reached toward his body, spilling over him and pushing him into the earth. Air came forced into him, his chest heaving. Burning eyes looked back up to his sister. He could not see the dark, the shadows. In the light his shadow had been wiped away, only the dancing of the leaves above them casting their play on the world below. He took a step towards her, hesitant and scared that he felt strangely at peace in the face of her horror and fear. What did it mean? Confused, he curled up again, eyes still finding her. He was stuck and he did not know what to do.
