Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

KRYPTO!one year - loner - no mate - no imprint

There’s got to be a way to impress him. I mean, not at the point of have him cheer for me and chant songs about my life. I didn’t even live yet! I just want for him to recognise. He would be the first, really. Others seemed to like to pick on me for my position in Dhali. But that is another place, another time, let us focus on the now and after!

He spoke of something he called Taviora and I asked him what it was. His home, yes. But what was it? A hole near a rock or a mountain? A river, another part of the forest? I have no idea. But worst yet is that he doesn’t know where his own home was. Which is great for a first adventure in search of a lost wolf’s home, but not a reassuring one. He stared back at me blankly. Oh. Have I said something wrong? Was there a snake around my neck next to killing me? Eyes lowering slightly to confirm that this is not the case. Wouldn’t I feel that? Alright, that was a stupid thought. I looked away and around me, not knowing what to do or say. Was this an insult to him? Only then he replied.

Awesome! At least he is sure he is not far, so he is not lacking sense of direction. My form relaxes a little and I follow him.

He asks my name and my answer seems to bring up a little more of him. Strong! Heh! That is what I am! But he touches a little sore spot. Hope? I don’t know what my parents really expected from me. Mom always said great things about me, saying things would be great with me again. Dad was the opposite, saying we should get used to life as it would beat us and there was nothing to do about it. They argued a lot and weren’t happy together. My brother always looked up to me to everything and my mom did quite the same as she wasn’t strong enough to do things by herself. If they saw hope in me, then perhaps they were mistaken. Because I’ve had enough. The adventures I seek are here somewhere, my life is here. This is my hope and they shouldn’t rely on me for their own.

But… Is it so selfish; What I did?

“Thanks!” I replied softly, trying not to let this side of me show brushing the thoughts aside “ They surely do! I’m the first to go out of the pack!”

I told him with pride in my voice. That is one of the greatest things my family will ever do! We walked for a little while before I asked him if he knew where we were going. He took a second, which wasn’t very reassuring as well. But what do I have to lose? It’s not like my home isn’t everywhere now. But he tells me something about a creek in Spirane. Which isn’t the name of any kind of place ever taught to me.

“Aaaalright…” I started, confused “By the sounds of it you seem to know this place a little better than me so I’ll keep following you.” I stated with a sly smile.

He suddenly stopped, looking at me strangely and asking me if I never been here before.

AAAAAH!! Impressed!!! Point to me!

“Mo-what? No! I have never been here.” I looked at him, pricking my ears forward in attention at this sudden start of an awesome story about myself “I am from Dhali. A pack far away from here. Been walking quite a while through desert places to get to these lands and after crossing a long grassy field that just popped out of nowhere, I got here. And I just arrived.”

It was as simple as that. Not as awesome when you experience all that. My paws are a little numb, my fur is a mess and only I know what I had to do to get rid of some spikes that got caught in my fur. That shall remain that way for the sake of my future audience.
