The sea had more than become her closest companion these past few weeks. But her mind always drifted to Panzer, wondering when she'd see him next, when she would feel that freedom that came along with being near him. She had yet to understand what it truly meant, the feelings that she had when she was with him. She had never experienced it before, the complete feeling that overwhelmed her when she was near. Even in the silence she felt as if her whole soul was finally at peace. Silly, right? Her attention finally comes back to the present, her heart beginning its slow flutter in her chest, just his mere presence set her soul soaring. She needed someone who could adjure her on these feelings that she was feeling. Silly, in her increased age, she needed advice.
His words floated upon the air and she felt the smile affix itself to her face and she sighed. His words made her heart soar, and she felt as if maybe this was all a dream, it had to be...right? She let her mind come back to reality as she looked at him as he spoke. His words made the flutter in her heart speed up. Everything he said made her feel as if she was the only girl, er...lady. She dipped her head at his words, her smile spreading more. "I would never wish you to neglect your duties, even if that means I'm alone." She spoke softly as she watched him.
She began to walk in the silence as they moved a bit of a way down towards the shore, she was eager to see where they would end up, and where their conversation would be taking them, but either way, she was just glad to be in his presence. Silly, yes, but she didn't care about being silly anymore. She cared about him, just how much, she had yet to clarify. Her every other step brought her shoulder brushing against his as they walked towards his planned area.
His voice comes to her again, and her eyes drift off to his face as he spoke. She felt the flutter begin again, stronger this time. His words always seemed like a poem to her, so sweet and so perfect, she often wondered what to make of it all. "I missed you while you were away tending to your duties. But I know how important they are, and that you must deal with them first. But it doesn't stop me from wishing you were with me more." She spoke honestly, pausing as she tried to think of something to make it all seem like it didn't matter much anymore.
"But you're here now, that's what matters."
