Inara couldn’t really hide her anxiousness that lingered she was trying to keep herself from the golden beast crossing borders when night felt, she was normally left alone never drawing much attention to herself. She was cautious in this manner never straying too deeply until today. her ears perked forward when a voice that was familiar rang in her ears. He had escaped, “Inara.” she mumbled it more or less but all the same, she tried to confirm who she was not even certain she spoke her name that night. She shivered and her guard hairs stood on on end as she recalled bits and pieces of it.
She pulled herself from her hiding spot careful to squeeze past the boy before shaking her coat lightly. “You’re alright. You didn’t get eaten.” Her tones were highs and lows as she hung her head slightly. “You helped me, thank you.” She mumbled slightly. Inara hated that she left someone in danger yet she wasn’t sure she would have been much help to him. She was grateful and sorrowful all the same. To be honest she wasn’t sure she ever would see him again. Her gaze fell over him cautiously and noticed he had been hurt and her ears fell slightly in acknowledgment.
At a loss for words and uncertain what to say she dropped her gaze and scratched the earth beneath her paws. Inara was lost on how to help or make things better she blamed herself for the boy before her getting injured. “Is it bad?” she questioned lightly before taking a seat before him not really wishing to look him in the eyes. If she hadn’t run perhaps he wouldn’t have been injured or maybe they both would have ended up a meal. To be honest she wasn’t certain but it didn’t change the fact of what happened now.
