The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

Perhaps if he had settled down for a moment he would have felt that his imprint wasn’t truly so close. Perhaps if he wasn’t literally following his nose around every corner he wouldn’t have walked straight into the multicolored girl who was seemingly hiding just around the rocks. Perhaps many a thing would be different if he wasn’t still an impetuous child despite technically being an adult, but he was all these things and so when he came nose-to-nose with the strange girl his head tilted far to the side in confusion. He sniffed again, huffed, and stepped closer to her before shoving his nose into her ruff and inhaling deeply. His head tilted the other way as he pulled back looking quite perplexed as his electric green eyes scanned the rest of the area around them. “You’re not her,” he said matter-of-factly, and perhaps a bit accusatory, as if she should know what he meant.

He kept trying to look around and find Inanna, SHE was his soul after all, but against his better judgement his eyes kept wandering back to the girl before him and he had to remind himself she wasn’t who he was looking for. Still his curiosity did get the better of him and finally remembering his manners he sighed and looked back at her once more. “I’m Rufio, who are you? I know you’re not her, but you still look interesting!” Most parents might roll over if they saw their child acting this way, but given the rather lackadaisical nature of his upbringing it truly wasn’t very surprising. His cream-tipped tail waved gently behind him as he found the thoughts of his soul slowly being replaced.

free heart - Inanna's soul - jubilant child of the mountain
son to hollowpoint & haven - brother to samus and moonstone
Rufio
