Her creamy maw stretched into a pleasant grin at his energy. The fuel he added to the fire of life was abundant and his excitement towards making a friend with the rabbits encouraged her to let this continue. It seemed as though the pup had no true intention to harm the soft creature. Even if he had intended to attack, she doubted he could have done any more harm than simply instilling fear. As he followed her lead, she kept a close eye on the rabbits, reading their movements and body language. She hoped one would be brave and give this little pup a chance. She also hoped the pup would not outright betray the trust of the innocent. Though she would not be able to blame him his nature.
His voice high and excited, Fenyang started to creep forward, not being remotely sneaky. The rabbits themselves were confused by this strange situation they were finding themselves in. Most knew to stay away from predators but one, either brave or stupid, youth started to cautiously approach. It had most likely been born that spring, the same age as Fenyang, though in rabbit years clearly ‘older’. Its was befuddled by the idea of a predator not trying to hide its approach.
Solstice watched the interaction patiently, two tones eyes gleaming bright. She was able to forget about the world around her and simply enjoy this moment of playful innocence. Her face spread into a grin, voice lowering even more, soothing to counter Fen’s high-pitched puppy voice. It is, let it come closer… The soft nose started to reach out to the puppy. Now maybe you can get close to is, but make sure it knows you won’t hurt it. Her creamy face tilted to the side, tail also waving in curious excitement. It was a strange interaction, not as one would think between wolves and rabbits, but either way the obviously not-hunting wolves would make an impression on the family. Their fate and relationship was in the paws of Fenyang.
