Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

RIPPER

A single beat of his tail thumping against the ground was the only response Sekhmet's exposed tooth and vehement stare elicited from Ripper. It was a simple signal of his understanding that she did not have the words to answer his question yet. So he waited, bright eyes falling to the carcass at his sister's paws once more. His tongue washed across his lips as he glanced back up to her red-lined features. There was a shift in her demeanor, then, a relaxing of her frame. Ripper was unsure what had brought it on, but he did not dwell on the matter - Sekhmet motioned to the wolf and invited him to partake of it. He did not need to be told twice.

Wolves who had only ever seen him lazing about and observing things from a distance would be surprised by the swiftness of his motion. He shot to his paws, lurching forward with surprising momentum to fall upon the kill and bury his face in the wolf's abdomen up to his ears. A neck thick with muscle ravaged the flesh, ripping backwards with a force that had surely earned him his name. This was the ferocity that lurked within the otherwise passive and lethargic male. It was not a trait he purposefully hid from those around him, there was just rarely anything that warranted its expression.

Mouth full with tender innards, he looked to his sister over the curve of the carcass's ribcage to ensure she had not changed her mind and come back to reclaim it. He found her staring off into the east, back towards the pack lands, before she turned to him once more and simply said, Time. He wondered, time for what? Sekhmet had always struggled with speech, preferring communication by body language and those sharp teeth of hers to the spoken word. Upon meeting their sire for the first time and finding him silent as well, he couldn't wondered if it was something she'd inherited. Though she had begun to speak more frequently, it was with a peculiar pattern. Almost as if the common language of Moladion disagreed with her, as if it was not a natural thing for her tongue to wrap around.

He chewed the morsels taken, swallowing and shrugging his shoulders in response to her words. She posed a question to him - what did he see? These wolves of the plains were different to those that had lived there for so long before them. This was not something that Ripper knew himself - he had only joined the pack recently - but Sekhmet would not have joined with a band of wolves intolerable to her lifestyle choices. She valued strength, this he knew. "They are very....chipper," he replied, before dipping his head to rip some more flesh from bone, grinding it between his molars as he watched Sekhmet lay down and place her head upon her paws. There was something more than the changes in Asteraia that was bothering her, he could tell, but to pry would likely earn him a new scar upon his already battle-worn ears. "Fools, maybe - but they have strength in numbers. I do not know how long they will allow us to stay." For though he saw no difference or issue in consuming the flesh of other lupines, he knew there were not so many wolves who felt the same. "Where will you go from here?" He asked, for he had a feeling that those glances back towards the fields were less of longing to return home, and more of detesting for what the pack had become.

You'll never know the psychopath sitting

sitting next to you. You'll think, "How'd I get
here, sitting next to you?" But after all I've
said, Please don't forget - All my friends are
heathens, take it slow.
