Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

the same old fears, wish you were here

He could tell that she did not like to dwell on the matter of her ear. When he heard her answers he was satisfied enough to put it aside for now, with a small tilt of his head that meant he would revisit it later. Nord could not mend her ear now, but he could make sure that it had healed properly and could give her some herbs for the itching. Focusing on helping the issue helped to dissuade that burgeoning anger inside of him, an emotion that was wholly unlike him but felt perfectly fitting given the circumstances. Sometimes he felt as though the spirits had made him whole, they had taken his parts and added to them until there was a balance between shyness and boldness, kindness and vulgarity. There was peace found in balance.

She seemed interested in his tale, and for that reason alone he was more than happy to follow her to Diveen- despite the fact that being in her company was a compelling enough reason. His ocean blue eyes settled on her for perhaps a moment too long as he considered what the spirits had said, that his fate lay within Moladion. Nord did not dwell on the thoughts for long. He never had. "Of course I'll come, Celeste." He said with a low wag of his tail, padding after her, his long legs easily catching up and placing him in stride next to the female. The male gazed ahead of them as they walked, his face having matured in some way, perhaps it was the way the dappled forest light hit it but for once he looked his age. Or perhaps older, wiser, even- his fluffy fur gave him, instead of innocence, an almost ancient air.

"My pack worshiped the ancient spirits of the mountain; the energies of the wolves who lived there long, long ago..." Nord began, going on to explain the intricacies of the worship as they walked. He spoke of the old medicine wolf, of the herbs he had taken to aid in his vision quest, and what had happened during. He spoke of the crystal cave and what the spirits had told him, how they had wept for what had been lost in the avalanche. "...and their parting words to me begged me to return to Moladion, for this is where my fate lies. I'm not sure what that means yet, but... I am happy to be back." Nord looked towards her with an almost sheepish expression, the deep blue pools looking at her seeming almost as reflective and mystical as the crystals in the cavern he had spoken of.

He rolled his shoulders, head raising slightly as his nostrils flared, taking in the scents of the woodlands- of Moladion, the truest home he had ever known. "I... feel badly that I kept disappearing without a word. I think, now that I have settled my past, I am ready to move towards a future here." Nord finished with a small smile. He did not mention what that future might entail, nor did he make any notion as to what it might be. He was not expecting Celeste to pick up on hints that he never gave.
