It had been a long time since Rhaella had stepped foot within the Dale. As a child it has seemed so large, so intimidating; as if the reaches of her father's land went on forever. Mother had been the coddling type-- suffocating even. Rhaella had many memories of Silvestra Tu fawning over her and drowning her in unwarranted affections. Rhaella was not a cruel being, however she did not have the same sense of caring that her dear mother did. She could not fault her dam for this, it was how she was raised. It was simply how she was. The Dale seemed smaller now, less impressive than the last time she had set her gaze upon it. Perhaps it was because she had grown, or perhaps it was her lack of childish innocence.

The years had been good to the young mare. He coat was sleek, though lacked a brightness. Like her father, she was heavier in nature with thick feathers and broad muscle. Looking at her she seemed to inherit almost nothing from her mother. Though the gods had seen fit to curse her with the gift of healing. Though her proficiency was not as high as others, Rhaella found it to be a cruel trick of life. Lacking her mother's nurturing nature she had no true desire to be a healer. She didn't want to be some band healer, tasked with healing mares and helpless children.

Something moved within her womb and the mare's small black ears flattened against her skull, disappearing into her thick mass of ebony tendrils. She turned quickly, gnashing her teeth against her rib cage. Her instincts to have a child had been heavier than her desire not to. It had not been an unpleasant experience, however she was unsure if becoming pregnant was something she planned on doing again. Rhaella decided to wait and see how this went before jumping to any conclusions.

For now she simply wished to see her father. It was not some desire driven by deep feelings of loneliness or abandonment. (It had been her mother who had disappeared after all.) She had simply returned to the lands of her birth and it seemed like the right thing to do. While she had little to no interaction with her sire when she was little, other than seeing him at a distance, that didn't mean she lacked respect for him. He was a lead stallion, after all; and Rhaella supposed that demanded some semblance of respect. She would not call out to him demanding he rush to her side like perhaps some would. Instead she remained near the outskirts of his land, content to wait until he had the time to see her.
