Admittedly, she was quite enjoying the new additions to their little family. There was something special about malleable young minds, about the innocence with which they viewed the world. Her other children were fully grown now, and though she doubted that they had lost every sliver of childish abandon, Haven felt at times that they had grown to be more mature than both her and Hollowpoint. And for that reason, the youthfulness of young pups made her feel more comfortable, she felt as though she could relate more fully to that sweet, wide-eyed ingenuousness. There was that slight twinge of fear every so often that she would make a mistake in raising this pair, but then she remembered that her first litter had grown into healthy and capable adults (though for Rufio, she used the word 'adult' lightly). It was easier, now, to enjoy the state of simply being a family rather than concern herself with every small intricacy. Things would work themselves out.

Haven stretched in the den, her movements evoking a plaintive cry from the slumbering pup beside her. But there was only one. She blew a heavy breath through her nostrils, half-irritated and half-amused. After her experiences with the antics of her first litter she couldn't expect any of her children to sit still for long. Mischief ran in their blood, for better or for worse- she just hoped that they were all smart enough to avoid getting in to serious trouble. Her ears flicked when her mate called for her, and she heard the sweet voice of her daughter respond. Pushing herself to her feet, she cast a glance at her son, a low wag of her tail encouraging him to follow. The woman was certain that Hollowpoint must have come up with something rather entertaining, as per his usual behavior.

When she emerged from the den, however, and caught sight of what her soul had brought, her dark eyes widened and her face was a mixture of confusion, concern, and excitement. "Dear?" Haven questioned with a raise of her eyebrow. She moved quietly towards the two pups, even younger than her own, and crouched down in front of them. The boy was alert despite his injuries, his sister, however, seemed to be in worse shape. "And what are your names, little ones? Where are your parents?" She said softly, her face sweet and voice gentle. She would have a word with Hollowpoint later but for now she was more concerned with helping these two young ones.
