Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

He is friendly and I am in a good mood so my mind does not stay stuck on the past and the sorrows it brings with it. Already things had begun to settle - Lazarus was home, a bit worse for the wear, and I was a Queen, although the title Empress would forever be in my heart. Not to mention Halcyon had asked me to be his mate! After so many years of protecting me and being the guard I needed.

Perhaps I am still a bit foolish in my endeavors. After all I did just stride up to some random wolf with the intentions of inviting him to Asteraia. Granted he was smaller than me for the moment but what if he had been... mad? Or has rabies or something? Such mature thoughts scatter swiftly as I talk to him, quite enthused by our conversation.

He stands up and pads close to me before suddenly looking up, where my blind eyes had been a moment ago, and I look up again too with a confused look on my face. Maybe he was hungry for a bird? Except his next words make me grin and then I start laughing, lifting a paw and pushing against his chest with it before dropping it back down. "I know what you are doing," I warn jokingly but with a bright grin. "The sky is the same here as in Asteraia too but if I had my way I would paint it with all the colors of the wild flowers!"

Such a silly thought and one I couldn't possibly accomplish but how interesting would it be! I tip my head to the side curiously. "The hope? Hmm, that sounds like quite a big destiny. I'm not sure what that could possibly mean but it sounds like adventure and I am willing to lend a paw for such exciting things!" I had no idea what I was agreeing to but neither did Krypto.

Then I broach the subject of him coming to Asteraia and he offers me his own help. My tail slaps the ground as I grin once more, so broad that I look goofy. "I like it! It is very original and I'll be no one else has done it. I'm gonna send someone else to measure the other packs too, to be fair," I say regally although secretly it's just because I need to know now, "so Whoever tells me the better number wins." I giggle then, quite amused at myself before glancing down at the proffered rabbit. "Oh, thank you!" I say, dropping down to my belly, biting into the rabbit, and yanking off some meat before pushing it back to him with my paw. I eat swiftly, enjoying the cool air and company.
