At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things  |
_________________________________________________________________________ Halina had officially left Abendrot and Blossom Forest, which meant that Lupin was alone now. He had been alone for a long time though, and he often preferred to be alone. He had not always been like this though. When he was younger he had loved to be with his friends. There had been four of them then, and then their numbers slowly dwindled until he was the only one left. Lupin had been forced to grow up at a young age after seeing what the real world was like, taking the lives of his best friends. He deiced that it was best to be alone than to go through that heartache again. But then he had grown fond of Halina, more than he had realized. Neither of them were the emotional type, but they came close to it when they said their goodbyes. But that was behind him now. Now he had to decide what he was going to do with himself now that his ties with Abendrot had grown shorter. He thought of leaving as Halina did, but for now he decided he would stay where he was and see how things played out. But the brute would not stay hidden within Abendrot’s packlands, he still liked to go out and explore other areas of the forest. The skinny teen had explored all areas of the forest, and knew different areas that he liked or didn’t. So he decided to head to the water falls and hang out there for a bit. It was peaceful and a good place to go to think or to distract yourself away from your thoughts. When the male got there, he saw that he was not the only one who wanted to come here. This was a popular place and he was not surprised to see another varg. What he was surprised about was where she was at the falls. Most did not go out to the more dangerous parts of the waters where it was choppy and could pull a wolf away and under the water. But she was out there on the rocks, and it made Lupin curious, so he too decided to go out. Normally he was not the one to go out and start conversation, but today he decided to do. He was careful with where he put his paws, making sure that he was not swept away by the fast moving waters. The female was still perched on her area out of the water, but only accessible by going through the waters when he spoke to her. "Nothing more soothing than the sounds of the falls, and nothing more comforting on a hot day like today than to surround yourself with cold water. I came to collect my thoughts, they've been in a terrible jamble lately. How about you?" She stood as she spoke, the pairs gaze meeting as she did so. He nodded at her words, ageing that it was a good spot to come to when one needed to get their thoughts in order. Lupin shrugged as he spoke, taking a moment to get a bit closer by going through some more of the rocks. ”Nothing really brought me here. I was just bored. Been bored for a while lately. What’s your name? I’m Lupin.” The brute was a bit scattered, distracted by making sure that he did not fall to his potential death as he continued to chat with the stranger.
