Haven tilted her head slightly when her sister spoke, her tones were lighthearted but it was clear that the issue frustrated her. She knew that Samus had spoken of trying to rise in the ranks, but the rest of her grown children seemed largely uninterested. It wasn't as if she blamed them for not wanting the responsibility- it had taken her years, after all, to deign it appropriate to become Courser- but she could certainly see why complacency would be frustrating to a leader. And sometimes, admittedly, she did forget that Daenerys was the proud Queen of Spirane, when the younger woman was always able to bring out a more childlike side of her. Responsibility had always been a bit of a foreign concept to Haven, regardless.

"I'm sure it's only a matter of time." She said softly, settling down in the soft grass herself. "Sometimes they need time to figure out themselves before they feel comfortable stepping up." Haven leaned against her sister slightly, pressing her shoulder against Daenerys' in a small display of solidarity. The younger woman knew that despite her sister's unfaltering protection of Spirane, she was still a wolf, with all the emotions and fears that came with it. The soft sigh only reminded her of such, and although she refused to press further, Haven knew that Daenerys was able to trust her as a confidant- and if she wanted to air her emotions, she would. There was no reason to press, so long as her sister knew that she would always be here to listen.

The question made her chuckle, her more somber thoughts turning lighthearted once more. "Oh, I suppose." She said, dark eyes twinkling. "He does things in his own way. Always has." She laughed, and then paused for a moment, considering. "I'm not so worried about the rest of the pups, but little Aine just keeps getting sick." Haven frowned slightly. "I don't know what to do for her. She can hardly leave the den, and I can't give her all my time with three other ones to look after. It wouldn't be fair to any of them." She hadn't meant to turn the conversation more serious, but it seemed as though she was more worried than she thought. Janus and Aine had become like her own, they had come to her with nothing but their names, and she had vowed then to protect them and nurture them just like the two she already had at her stomach.

"It's hard to worry about four lives, I can't imagine how you handle an entire pack." Haven said with a quiet chuckle, eyes moving from the fields to her sister. The fireflies would be out soon, but for now, they could simply relax in each other's company.
