News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

It had taken him some time, yes, but Elohim had finally come to Abel. He had meant to attend Spirane with Inanna but...well, things had gone differently than what had been expected. His time Iromar had been short and yet, it had taken him some time after to get back into the act of...well, doing anything at all. In any case, he had come for Abel in his own time and Abel had answered him at the borders with just as much delay. The two had never been close, after all, despite their relation but Elohim had taken a liking to Inanna and so, he had placed more weight on finding his uncle than before having met with her. Abel, on the other paw, had come mostly out of curiosity, curious as to his mother and siblings and the rest of Glorall. Part of him had perhaps expected a tension to flair and yet...the silence of the entire situation had been an unnerving thing at times.

The pleasantries had been short and Elohim had feigned tiredness to put Abel at rest, his journey down the mountainside having still been a difficult one at that. The news of his family had been just as brief: Ava was well, his siblings fine, Keturah still absent from the territory and Inanna had begun to find her place. It seemed to please Abel and it had allowed the conversation to open more freely, his trust in his nephew more than that of many of his family members. In any case, he knew why Elohim had come and he was free to admit that his time in Spirane had been more or less the same as anywhere else, neither entirely enjoyable but not awful either. They treated him well and had attempted to persuade him to find a rank for himself and yet, he had been reluctant to do so. Elohim questioned him no further than that, the man's taut lips and fiery eyes enough to warn him from doing so.

In any case, Abel had eventually asked the question Elohim had expected, if not the one he had come for: "And how does my brother find this entire situation? It's been so long and not a word nor even a nod towards the mountains." Elohim, of course, had little more knowledge than any other and yet, he had an insight that they did not perhaps. In any case, he had been careful with his words. "You are under your own free will," he shrugged, a sentiment that seemed to amuse Abel for a split second, "but he sees value in you being here. Insurance, I think, for an unsure future." Abel understood that, perhaps too much so, and so he huffed with amusement before he sighed. "And what do you see, Elohim?" He had not expected a question for him however, and so he hesitated for a moment as the pair watched the sun in its slow descent. "You are insurance to me, too, I think," he admitted with, deadpan and blunt, "but I implore you at least return the once to see Inanna and Samia. Your return, to me, would secure a better place." He is honest, in any case, with little reluctance to be as such towards his uncle. After all, Elohim had never shared his father's prejudice towards those born unlike the others, Abel's leg having never been more than a curiosity to him and so, he is calculated in his treatment of such things. His answer was an amusing thing, it seemed, and one that Abel agreed with.

From there, it was a slow thing, the two unsure of what exactly to discuss but wishing to do so nonetheless. Abel spoke briefly of Spirane's wolves, of Samus' eagerness and Daenerys' encouragement and Elohim spoke of Asteraia's suitability and of Iromar's coup. Abel and he would both leave with new knowledge - however, Elohim felt it was he who was the least likely to share it. After everything, it seemed to him that perhaps Spirane had found themselves another member despite the terms of his arrival.
