Breeding

Where the magic happens...
Wanting your own adorable hoard of fluffy puppies? You’ve come to the right place!
In winter, parents post their stats (alongside any other relevant stats such as grandparents etc.) in the below format. Staff then roll dice to determine if you conceive. If you do (congratulations!), Staff will then roll some more dive and perform some magic in order to produce your puppy stats.
You can view how we do that magic right here!

Certain prizes, such as ‘Pick Your Own Litter Size’ and ‘Custom Stats’ must be used before Stats are posed, whereas ‘+1 Puppy’ can be used after. If in doubt, check with Staff!

Once Stats have been posted, players may post in response claiming and naming puppies. Once spring begins, the mother’s player must reply to the thread with a link to their ‘birthing post’ on the appropriate date unless an extension has been requested.

Age:
Height / Weight:
Eye Color:
Body / Fur Type: (be detailed! long, short, thick, whispy, scruffy fur; brawny, willowy, wide set ears, a tail that’s a little crooked – everything helps!)
Fur Colour: (be specific with markings, and include references if you want!)
Other Stats (Optional): (for example, parents and grandparents; siblings; anything ‘cultural’ such as special markings in their bloodline etc)

** We include the option of grandparent / sibling / etc stats in order to help produce unique puppies even if a pair are plainer coloured. For example, two pure white parents don’t leave much room for exploration but with additional family stats, we can bring in new traits!

Pup 1
(Custom pup by Bab)
Female
Healthy

Eye Color – A deep steel-shade cerulean blue with faceted robins egg blue around her iris.

Fur Color – Her fur's base is the same dulled gold-brown color that is speckled throughout her mother's neck and topline. It appears on the ear-rim, the lower cheek and behind the muzzle, then it moves down the throat, breaks, for a moment and continues to the chest. Her shoulders, belly, and majority of her hind legs and tail regain this color. Her other major color is her father's base coat dark gray color, taking up her full topline to the base of her tail primarily. It cups her muzzle, trickles down her cheek fur, stripes through from her neck to her throat, stripes again across the base of her ruff and coats her breast. From behind her shoulder, it flows just behind the primary muscle and scoops to then coat her entire foreleg. Onwards down her back there is a scoop and it pokes into the crease of her hind leg before looping over the top of her hip and trailing down the back of her hind legs and coats her feet up past her ankles. On her tail the underside and tip is covered before scooping up to a point on the top of the tail. The last color is the color of her markings, which is her father's cream color. Her eyes are marked similarly to her mother. The cream circles the eye closely, dripping a little at the front and extending at the back before scooping towards the front again. this eyemark then connects to eyebrow markings without much straying from the eyemark itself. Then the backs of her ears are cream, as are her tow knuckles, and a cream tail tip. Reference.

Fur Type – Her face has fur that is short and close to the skin, though at the poll it lengthens into a full and very thick ruff as it moves down the chest and belly and to the hackles. Her shoulder shortens the fur over the foreridge and it gets ever shorter as it gets to the elbow and then is as short as on her face down the forelegs. Up the back of her paws it lengthens a little before returning to short and then flares longer again at the elbow and armpit. Her torso has the same medium length fur as it goes from spine to midway down her ribs and then lengthens as it goes to her bottom-line. Her backlegs are much the same as the forelegs, but the moderate length hair goes to the hock and then shortens with only a little flare down on the back near the paws. Her tail is entirely full and thick. Her skin-tight fur is entirely smooth, the medium length is softer but lays flat despite the undercoat, then her longest fur is silken. Her undercoat is like her grandfather Bahamut in that in summer it sheds out more thickly than it seems capable of and she needs great grooming to keep from having loose tufts showing everywhere. All around, the fur only enhances her length of limb and form - even where it thickens most around the scruff, breast, and tail.

Height/Weight – 37 in/90 lbs

Body Type – She is as sleek like a greyhound as her mother, and as exotic and tall looking. Like her mother, she has apparently additional vertibrae that give her a longer neck, back, and tail than most wolves. Of the four main talents of wolves, she clearly favors speed, then splits second with endurance or agility, and then falls utterly short on strength that is not achieved by sheer momentum. Her top-to-bottom markings and long topline marking only accentuate these traits. Her ears stand tall on her head, and if they were on the average wolf would seem oversized. They fit her best because her head and muzzle is are also slender and long. Also like her mother, her feet are elongated, she has a deep chest, and her muscles are all quite lean to her figure.

Pup 2
Male
Unhealthy - Mute

Eye Color – Bright teal with a ring of white around the pupil.

Fur Color – His base coat is a deep gray, almost black. Light silvery gray lines around his eyes and trails down toward his nose before fading out. This same gray covers his lower chest, underbelly, and near the end of his tail. It also appears just on the tip of his chin like a goatee. A medium gray covers the rest of his face and muzzle, ending just at the edges of his cheeks, and trailing down his chest. It also covers his legs and the front of his shoulder. Atop his dorsal line is also flecked with this medium gray. The very tip of his tail is white. Reference.

Fur Type – Shorter and coarse but thick, he may be rather hot during the warmest parts of summer.

Height/Weight – 40 in/180 lbs

Body Type – As his mother and her father he had long legs, but thanks to his father they support a rather thick physique. He will be more a tank like his father as well, though it has been tempered some by his mother’s side of the family so he will also possess a good bit of endurance. He has broad shoulders and a deep chest adding to his powerful abilities.

Pup 3
Female
Healthy

Eye Color – A cold icy blue flecked with teal.

Fur Color – Her base coat is a silvery white though it only shows through at the tips of her ears, marks above her eyes, lining below her eyes, her chest and underbelly, the tips of her front paws, the lower half of her rear legs, and the underside of her tail. Light gray covers her lower cheeks and muzzle before trailing down toward her shoulders, sides, upper part of her rear legs and the middle of her tail. Finally a deep gray appears on the top of her muzzle, face and ears then flows down her back until it covers the top of her tail. Reference.

Fur Type – Of medium length and thickness but soft. Small wispy bits of fur can be seen on the backs of her legs and the base of her ears.

Height/Weight – 38 in/120 lbs

Body Type – Though slightly taller and heavier than her mother and sister she is no less leggy. This appearance is complimented by her narrow face, large almond eyes, close-set ears and deep chest. Her slender frame is covered with sinewy muscle lending her endurance and agility. Being slightly heavier set she will not be the fastest of wolves but if push comes to shove she would be able to hold her own long enough to get away.

Mother’s Health: 2/10
Though the birth is not overly complicated as a whole, afterwards you will suffer from anemia which will leave you extremely fatigued and weak. During this time you may experience shortness of breath, dizziness, chest pains, and feel cold despite the warmth of Spring. This could have serious repercussions if you attempt to push yourself too hard and you will require the care of a pack, mate, or imprint to survive with you pups.
