Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

PARAVANA

Paravana saw the subtle movements of gold and russet coming towards her. Her rainbow eyes struggled to focus, but she was able to see the face of Emil. The voice of Umbra penetrated her ears, but she seemed to almost drown them out. A part of her knew that Umbra was right. That she had grown weak since she gave birth...that Umbra was like the Shade had dragged out all of Para's energy and put it into her pups instead. Umbra was not wrong, but Paravana did not respond to her. Her mind was fixated elsewhere as the golden Angel approached her,
the light bleeding over him almost like a halo.

"Emil..." she whispers gently, unable to lift her head to get a better look at him.
Her voice was weak and had a slight gurgle to it. She feels him come to her and touch his muzzle to her cheek. The world was growing ever so silent now though. The sounds of insects and birds were starting to fade into the background, but still Emil was as bright as can be. He says her name, and although the voice is still different, it is still...right. She gasps for breath, rainbow eyes looking for his own.

"So...so you are...real," she says in but a whisper. "B...brother?" she questions, searching for some sort of answer.

Umbra was certainly not amused when she heard someone coming up behind her. Her head suddenly turned around, with her eyes narrowing into an intense glare as the golden wolf approached, speaking her mother's name,
saying he was going to bring her home. Umbra's visage was nothing but hostile at him for trespassing and disturbing this moment. She may be young, but she knows that he is no Glorall wolf. She also never saw her mother interact with any Diveen wolf before, and had a feeling father would be furious right now. Her dark hackles raise as a puppy growl lingers in her throat. Emil looks to her and his look is not something friendly or respectful. He even touches her mother! Umbra suddenly jumped to her paws, snarling as viciously as someone as young as her can.

"How dare you!" she says, false charging him with a snap. "How do you know my mother's name? How dare you disturb her passing with the Shade!" she says harshly. Umbra also heard the faint whisper of her mother...calling this one brother. Umbra felt a wave of confusion, and it showed for but a moment as her eyes darted to her mother. Her form lightened slightly, before she turned back to Emil with her fangs reappearing.

Paravana heard it all, but it was almost like hearing a distant dream. Emil promised to get her home, just as she remembered, home was not Glorall, but Diveen. But Umbra spoke of disturbing the Shade, which was also true among her weakness. It was a conflicting feeling, but her mind was fading and becoming lighter with each passing moment...moments that felt longer, and longer.

"Emil...take care of...save....Umbra and....and..." she says, her words flowing like water soaking into the soil with their quietness. The blood loss was too much. She was not able to speak, but her chest kept rising and falling...but it would only but moments until even that would cease.

Umbra looked back to Paravana, an offended look crossing her delicate visage. Emil was like a demon, coming to ruin the plans of the Shade. Why did she save for him to save her? Umbra did not need saving. She twisted her head back to Emil, lowering her head slightly to cover her throat.

"You! I am going to tell my dad, and he is going to GET you," she yells out. Suddenly she dashes forward, her little jaws reaching out to grasp his tail- but only enough to get a nice chunk of fur. She rips out the fur with a wild snarl, a true ferocity in her small figure to shake even some adult wolves up with fear. Her prize in her mouth, she turns and dashes away, heading back to her father to inform him of what occurred.
