"The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Ceres continued to stare at the other female, her eyes holding no malice or accusation, only simple curiosity. Her white gaze was piercing, calculating, and perhaps a tad bit threatening, but it was revealing. When her body posture failed to reveal her thoughts, her eyes always would, almost glowing in their lustre. The words from the other female caused her to tilt her head slightly, the cocky grin fading from her face somewhat. It was clear that the woman before her was experienced with these plants in some way, and although Ceres had heard the word healer before she wasn't entirely sure what it entailed. Her family were warriors, assassins, even wanderers but no one had gotten it into their head yet to be a healer, it would make sense why she thought staring at plants so excitedly would be... strange. But then she continued, and her next words certainly piqued the girl's interest. Certainly the healing part was useful, and might even one day be useful to her, but the whole 'darker side' this woman described seemed a bit more her style. Ceres didn't comment on it yet, though it was clear from her posture that the ideas interested her. Perhaps all she had done so far was spy, but her mother had been an assassin and now more than ever Ceres desired to follow close in her pawsteps. The fact that this woman carried herself upon only three limbs only made her all the more powerful to the girl. Like Ceres' age, this one's defect was deceptive, hidden behind it were skills and intellect far more swift and cunning than appearance might let on. Ana, however, did not seem to be one who used the poisons that she described. Perhaps she had more of a proclivity towards helping, not harming, and Ceres didn't want to be offputting with her interest. Her age, however, could sometimes be a detriment- she hadn't yet learned how to keep her mouth shut. CERES one / roman x morrigan / taviora |
