This is very unusual for a Canada Goose to nest that high and that far away from water. Last year I checked around the bottom of the nest pole and all the goslings seem to have made it down off the pole and to water. I think the long grass may have broken their fall. I have not heard of another goose nesting this high and this far away from water but it seems that she is going to try it again this year. Ken Cox reported to me that they came back to the nest about a week ago. Replies: There have been no replies.
