Why's everyone (other than Richard Osman and the Dunkers) obsessed with the idea of 'country' above all else? A mere blink of an eyelid ago in the history of civilisation we all belonged to city states or feudal landlords with their own militias.
When GRIP campaigns on the slogan 'Give us our country back!' do they mean Greenland, Denmark or perhaps Nuuk?
Everybody's identity is a soup of different ingredients and that's just the way it is. Wanting to promote one identity at the expense of all others is the stuff of fascism (I'm sure Ken Livingstone would be able to confirm this). So 'Vive la difference!'
