Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Oh I liked this girl! She stepped forward, head dipping low to consume the soft innards of the hatchling sea turtle - only the best for the best, am I right? But I did not step back from her, merely lifting my paw to allow her to take the carcass, lingering in her space as she ate. There was no reason to retreat when I was the one who had offered her the snack. Her eyes passed over me with little regard, and that was when I noticed the unique bicolor of her eye. This girl! My, my. Confidence oozed from every tendril of fur on her body, and those eyes of hers left no question of her poise. Her shell would be much harder to crack than the sea turtle's had been, I thought. Challenge accepted.

The gore of the kill besmirched her bronze muzzle, but damn if it didn't make her look all that much better. She looked down her snout at me almost dismissively, but that wasn't going to deter me. If she thought she was too good for me now, she'd learn in due course that wasn't the case. I might be young, but I had never been a fool. Icy blue eyes squinted slightly, narrowing in amusement at her comment. The harder the chase, the better the reward. Nostrils flared, breathing in her perfume. There was no point in my trying to feign disinterest in her now - and why would I bother? She was good looking and had quite a way about her to boot.

"A little snack from a little killer," I mused, echoing her moniker for me back to her. If she was trying to bait me into a uproarious response, she'd have to try a lot harder than that. Apophis had made sure of that. Sure, I was cocky - there was no denying that - but I was also a smart bastard. After all, in our bouts for Lucille's attention I won more often than not. I glanced past her, back up the beach in the direction she'd come from. "But where is your mate? What a fool to let you go hungry." I grinned, eyes sliding back to her, tracing the contour of her hip and the dip of her chest before returning to those unique eyes of hers. Oh, if she wanted to play games, I was more than willing to participate.

boy, do i have a feeling
we're getting close
