He can see the way Cuirass stares down at him with something sly and it only makes his anger more palpable. Whenever he would see a look as calculating on the face of Malleah things usually ended up worse than they began. It was very rare as most of the time she was snarling and chasing all the pups away from her. He had learned very little in his time with her - few words - but one he did not. He had watched his siblings mouth the word mother to her but whenever Kahina or he tried it they were met with a glare and he understood NO. NO meant she was not their mother. It took a bit of time for his small brain to piece together that meant only their father was their father and their mother was... someone else?

Still, it is hard for him to formulate anything because Malleah had deliberatly neglected teaching him. Kahina had picked up on things because she could hear and it took a while for Boneskull to realize taht he was different. He was dumber than them. He had no reason to think that they could HEAR because he didn't know what that was - he assumed they understood the vibrations he felt.

The food now sat heavy in his belly and when Cuirass laid down Boneskull jolted out of a half-sleepy reviere, baring his teeth warningly. When he realize the male didnt mean him any harm he laid down too, eyeballing the legs of the male. Part of him wanted to go curl up there but when he spies the mouth of Cuirass moving he has to focus and hell, being up close wouldn't help. He doesn't really understand the question but the word parents is recognizable.

"Parents?"

He says and falls silent for a minute. "Malleah... no... mother. Ar-an-kkkkk dad." That much he knew, although his father's name was hard on his tongue. The vibrations harder. He seemed so focused to say it while battling sleepiness, his head jerking to the side as he blinks. "Name?" Name, name, name... that is what Cuirass had asked earlier. So that must mean a calling and he couldn't remember this dudes name. "Dad?"a
