The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

This family was fraught with tragedy it appeared. Not only did they have a shit face for a mother and a psychopath for a father, then this one ended up getting murdered. I was sure in my BONES that it wasn't natural causes to have killed such a pup. Because if a weakling had been born I felt that Aranck would have dealt with it rather swiftly. He was known as a pretty crazy wolf - hell, even his mate fled after his death. She was not the greatest wolfess in the book from what I understood and a terrible mother, but one did have to wonder if she was right in the head to have stayed with a wolf like him. Unless he threatened her.

Oh well, it was hearsay and I didn't honestly give a shit. Now that Aranck was dead I felt a little less guitly about my silence but I would soon put forth the truth for Pine to weigh and judge. Imagine that - me, allowing some young pup to 'judge' me. Odd. I abruptly miss Israfel. Not that I would ever tell that little brat such a thing - I enjoyed tormenting him too much and he certainly did the same to me.

I've no clue who this wolf is but he smells of pines and forest so clearly he is a pack wolf which tells me that he isn't about to go nutso on me. Taviora was known for having a pretty stable wolf stock - unlike a few other places around here. I watch as he comes closer to investigate and notice the shock and sorrow on his face when he recognizes what he is seeing. I frown hard and sigh. Children could be vexing, for certain, but it was sad to see any one go.

"From what I've gathered, they weren't the best parents," I said drily. I question him about the boy and listen attentively to the answer before humming in thought. "Quite likely then. Aranck apparently had quite a few runts running around, no offense," I say with a sad sort of smile, my jest not meant to be taken seriously. It was just my way of speaking.

I perk up at his offer with a relieved sort of smile for a comrade. "Yes, I would. Pine wants to make sure those that are left are in good paws. She holds no ill will towards them - apparently their parents had enough of that." I stand then, glancing balefully at the bones. Another, faint scent, clings to the area but it was almsot intangible and I had no hope of tracking it. "So this boy is missing his sister. I'm not sure how many siblings he had but there seems to be quite a bit. I'd hate for it to be this one." I am trying to put the puzzle pieces together but it is slow going.
(Soooo if you wanna post dex in tavi for jack and zharko we can do that?)
