SOMETIMES THINGS DON’T COME FULL CIRCLE

The slender woman lifted her head from her paws as a familiar call rang through the air - she had not expected to see Motionless, as hopeful as she was. She knew of the woman’s demons, as much as she of Katia’s own. The diluted woman rose on charcoal feet, making her way towards the familiar meeting ground. There was a stench of death cutting a clear path through the territory, and Katia was both perplexed and dreading what she would find at its source. Katia had found a weariness in her since she had confessed her darkest secret to Akuji, an exhaustion that she could not find enough rest to resolve. She moved slowly now, a plodding pace that, mixed with her lengthy pillars, left her moving at a pace similar to that of a quickly walking timber wolf.

Mismatched portals landed on her friend, and she was utterly relieved to find that she appeared to be unharmed. The kalak’s gaze continued in her sweep, from a black and white male to a completely white one. From there they found her walking heart, and she quickly bounced them away from Akuji and to her alpha and friend. The woman was telling a story that she was familiar with, and she circled around the edge of the area to come to her side. Katia knew she was late, but she also knew it was important that she had come at all. Motionless trusted her, and Katia knew that her presence would, hopefully, ease the stress of her confession. She had come in half way, and Motionless was telling more details of her story than she had before.

As Motionless fell silent, Katia bumped her shoulder gently with the woman’s hip. While she didn’t know the relationship between the two white wolves, she knew that he was important to her friend and that it was his reaction that was important to her. All she could do was offer her the support she needed, and that was what Katia was doing.
